Hey there! I’m Lars.
I'm an anthropologist by education, a photographer by instinct, and a people and operations manager by professional experience. How those things ended up together is a longer story, but there's a thread running through it all: people, creativity, and a stubborn curiosity about how things work.
I've spent more than twenty years moving between worlds. From photography and filmmaking to fieldwork in East Africa, from researching human behaviour to leading international teams and improving complex operations.
I like understanding things. Especially complicated things involving people, systems and ideas that don't quite behave as expected. And I like making them work better. Sometimes that means reorganising an operation, sometimes finding the right question to ask, and sometimes simply knowing when to get out of people's way.
Outside of work, I'm usually making, learning or experimenting with something. Photography, writing, cooking, martial arts, the occasional questionable creative project. The list keeps growing.
At the end of the day, I think we're all here to make this endless void a little less so.
Don't be a stranger!
